Client Identification Tag

The purpose of the client identification tag is to allow MLB website users to attach an identifying label to a searching session. When a case is viewed, this label will be recorded by the MLB web system.

The client identification is input into a text box labeled Client ID tag (see below).

Attach Client Id tag:
When input, subsequent pages up to and including the search results screen include this client identification text box that can be modified at any time.

The Client ID can be up to 20 characters in length. The client ID should not contain spaces. If spaces are encountered, the client ID will be truncated to all characters encountered before the space. For example, a specified client ID of "Mr. Smith" would be truncated to "Mr.".

The MLB Usage Report has been customized to allow reporting based on the client identification tag. Reports now include the client identification tag field. The usage report has also been modified to allow a selection of sorting order. The report allows sorting of cases viewed three ways a) alphabetically by case title; b) by date; and c) by client identifier.
