The Nova Scotia Reports (2d) commenced publication in 1969. The series includes all of the decisions of the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, plus selected trial decisions, plus Supreme Court of Canada decisions originating in Nova Scotia. The approximate number of volumes per year is 11.

Starting January 1, 1997 the Nova Scotia Reports (2d) database includes unedited cases that would ordinarily be unreported.
